Where did my concentration go???
Nov. 21st, 2004 12:47 pmI used to be able to concentrate...I mean I could sit down, decide to do something and then sit there until I'd done it. So far this morning I've started doing about 8 different things and not finished any of them, I get distracted by *stops to stare out of the window for a few minutes!!! Seriously* starting to do something else, or just sitting down. I guess this is another sign of too much stress in my life - I have soooooo much I should be doing that I can't always decide what I should do first and end up starting to do everything and never get anything finished. Consequently I have loads of wasted time in my life, which doesn't help with getting things done and having time to actually have a life!! Anyone any ideas how I can break this cycle?

This can be useful if you don't know where to start, or can't face starting. You might not be able to face doing something until it is completed, but you might be able to work on something for half an hour. Of course this only works if it is a job you can leave without having to start again from the beginning.
I don't think tiredness helps. If you don't know which job to tackle, then I suggest something domestic like washing up. That way you'll have got yourself out of inactivity, plus you'll have the washing up done.
