Aug. 6th, 2005 08:01 pmAnother week gone and it's August. Help. This year is just flying by...I barely seem to see any of it!!! Oh well, at least most of the time it vanishes into a haze of Good Things. Like work and alcohol and gigs and stuff :o) Could be worse.
Last night was Dead and Buried and it was good fun as usual. Chatted to lots of people including
jareth77,
danny_e11,
sinbadsilk (hope you're all enjoying Weston!! *snigger* ;o),
ravenstoker,
indigo_violet,
bootpunk (add me to your friends list, bastard!),
djpsyche,
darckense,
hellectricity, Philippa, Lady P (really good to see her out and about again), and various others....saw
chimera_s go past and once again didn't get a chance to chat!!! Had to leave about 1.15 though as I was teaching this morning and it took nearly 2 hours to get home. Spent most of today (post work) sleeping, then braved Croydon on a Saturday to do some shopping. Fucking chav central...it certainly reminded me why I usually find time to go shopping during the week! Went into Lush to find that they have stopped all the shower gels I like (boooo!!) which I sort of knew anyway, but the manager is going to try and order me a big bottle of the one I really like which is cool :o) All I have to do this evening is go to my allotment and check things over, and then finish sorting the new pages on my works website out...
Tomorrow I'm off to see Stealth and Silver City with J and then the Tears are playing at Somerset House :o) We never saw Sueue live when we were really into them 10 years ago, and although it won't be that good it should still be cool. Chance to meet up with some old school friends anyway which is always good.
Anyway fancy going to the National Gallery at some point soon? They have an exhibition of Stubbs paintings on and I want to go see it! I also want to go to Brighton for the day, as I haven't been for a couple of years and I like it. The one thing I miss about living in Hastings is being by the sea...someone move London for me, please??

Date: 2005-08-08 01:32 am (UTC)10am - meet in Victoria Station near the entrance to WH Smiths - we'll aim for the 10:36 train so there's a bit of leeway / time to buy tickets although I assume you'd probably go for E. Croydon station rather than head into zone 1 only to go through croydon again a bit later!
Noon - meet in Brighton Station
1pm - Meet at the Pavilion for tours etc
The rest of the day we'll be wandering around the lanes and flouncing up and down the pier. :) There may be alcohol involved at some point too!
