*yawn* Why does my laptop think it's 08.37? How weird. Think my new Ubuntu install must have changed the system clock...hm....

Well, what have I been up to? Quite a productive week at work, got some planning done, had some very useful meetings and generally everyone knows what they have to do over the next month or so. Had a fairly quiet week socially, went to [livejournal.com profile] julysea and [livejournal.com profile] sadaprilsky's house on Tuesday as usual and went to William's on Wednesday and got extremely stoned which was very good. Friday then, Dead and Buried, met [livejournal.com profile] dadaista and Tish in the Dev for a drink before hopping along to the Lord Nelson. Had a good night (only drank 9 units of alcohol which is considerably less than usual....I have to get used to sitting in a club night drinking lemonade, on Friday I found [livejournal.com profile] bootpunk for company for a bit who was doing the same) chatted to lots of people, danced a bit, left the club at about 01.45 and got home 2 hours later. I hate night buses...

Yesterday, got up at 12.45 which meant I was already late for the company annual picnic. Cycled up to Hyde Park, ate stuff, smoked stuff, had a very chilled afternoon before meeting a couple of friends I haven't seen in about 6 months in a pub in Carnaby Street. Then cycled home. I think I must have cycled over 100 miles already this week and I intend to cycle to Camden this evening for [livejournal.com profile] indigo_violet's birthday meal/drinks. I only had 2 units of red wine yesterday so I can have a drink tonight and still be just about in line with my recommended weekly limit (14 units). I'm slightly depressed by how little alcohol this is!!!! Oh well, I'd best just get used to it for my ongoing health....

In other news: the confirmed bands at Whitby so far include two of my favourite bands!!!! Deathboy and Neon Zoo are both fantastic, so musically it should be good (in spite of Dr and the Medics?). I'm really looking forward to it, chance to get out of London and see some people I haven't seen for ages. Mind you, can I do the whole weekend on 14 units of alcohol????

The UK Govt's recommened weekly intake is 14-21 units for the ladies. As you aren't a 6 stone, 4'11" lassie, I'd figure you'd be closer to the top of that scale. Unless, of course, your recommended weekly limit is as recommended by yourself ...

But it was good to talk to you about drinking and bicycles on Friday. You were right about cadence - the gearing on my MTB is all wrong, and my time yesterday wasn't helped by that at all. Have to get new gear-set.

That's interesting, the stuff I was reading the other day said 14 units for women - it seems to be one of those things that people find it difficult to agree on though. Guess that means I can have 2 drinks tonight then! ;o)
