No helping some people...
Jan. 18th, 2011 08:16 pmWhy yes, I really *did* just go to the corner shop in my pyjamas (and a coat! er, and shoes!) and proceed to nearly fall into the freezer obtaining the absolutely dirt cheap (£1.29!) apple pie they sell that's so cheap it's vegan*. Sometimes I shouldn't be allowed out. But I have apple pie! Win. And there's soya custard in the cupboard. More win. :o)
*since going vegan (some 6 years ago now) I have discovered that cheap bakery items are the best bet for accidental vegan food. Butter is much more expensive than vegetable oil and eggs aren't really needed in quite a lot of things. Really cheap doughnuts, fruit pies, apple strudels - all sorts of things are often found to be Raven compatible. It's awesome!
