What did I miss then?

Blimey. This week has been extremely hard...two days out of the office and I feel like I've been away! Except of course I've been working.

Monday was the Co-operative Direction conference where I did my talk. It went ok - I talked too fast and didn't look at my notes often enough (so repeated myself) but it was well received. The rest of the conference was really useful. Long day though - left home at 6am and got back at nearly 9pm.

Yesterday I had a meeting in the morning at a possible new office location and it was really good! Someone else is interested though, so I hope they don't take it before next Monday when the rest of the directors can see the place. I'll be a little on edge until the holding deposit changes hands, assuming the rest of the directors like it. They might not. Oh god... Spent the rest of the day working through the company finances with my bookkeeper. The joys of being Finance Manager!

Today then I'm shattered. Might go and see Children of Men this evening at WIQ if anyone fancies joining me - it'll be the 18.55 showing though.

MP3 players

My ipod has died and the ipod repair people (not actually Apple themselves but a company who appeared cheaper) want £70 to replace the hard drive. The battery has also been problematic so that'll need replacing soon making me think it might be better to get a new mp3 player! Can anyone recommend one? Preferably one that'll talk to Linux without too much of a fight...
