Things...

Firstly, lj comments were playing silly buggers with me last night so I didn't see any of the comments to my last couple of posts until this morning. Sorry about that...

Whilst eating an actually quite passable Indian takeaway (from the restaurant literally 6 feet from my front door!) I calculated how much alcohol I've been drinking recently. This is never a good thing. I really need to drink less....now I am going to start by attempting to drink less and not cut it out completely, but I'm a bit of an all or nothing person when it comes to booze so we'll see how it goes. I managed about 9 weeks at the end of last year so it's not like I can't do it.

In other news I've been reading Eats, Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss and it's absolutely bloody hilarious. I had to stop reading it on the bus on Tuesday as I was laughing out loud and people were looking at me funny. You should definitely check it out.

Bad mood

It would appear I'm in quite a bad mood. I'm sure it's nothing that can't be fixed by the bottle of mead currently sitting on my desk*. What was that about drinking less??

*I know, mead is made from honey and therefore not vegan, but hey, it was a present!

Opinions on the following?

Ruth graduated with a BSc in Physics from Imperial College London in 2002, but decided during her time at university that she doesn't actually like physics very much so found something else to do instead. As a keen cyclist she started working for Cycle Training UK as an instructor but soon got involved in running the business as was a main contributor to the formalisation of the worker co-operative structure. Currently as finance manager, director and company secretary she's been deeply involved in the development of one of London's foremost cycling organisations, gaining a solid grounding in business finance and corporate governance principles.

In her spare time (whenever that is) she volunteers at the Vauxhall City Farm, riding their ponies and teaching horse riding to disabled children through the Riding for the Disabled Association. When she's not doing that she's probably curled up in a pub with large glass of red wine and a good book.
