Saturday again??

I'm not very awake this morning - this week I've cycled a total of nearly 90 miles, 30 of which were yesterday 'cos I decided to cycle all the way home from Euston after my sisters show. My legs ache this morning. At least I get to see the qualifying for the European GP before I go to Gotham :o) All is good...

This week then...
Monday - meeting after work, got home 10.30.
Tuesday - Didn't do anything. All evening. Got to watch CSI!!!
Wednesday - History of Guns @ The Purple Turtle. I was a bit tired for this really, after a hellish day at work. I don't often go to gigs with very little idea of what to expect, but I quite enjoyed what I heard. Personally I think they were a little too drunk though - not that I'm suggesting people should go on stage completely sober you understand, just a bit less drunk. Cycled all the way home from the Turtle, and beautiful it was too! London in the dead of night on a weekday is really quite lovely.
Thursday - film. See next post.
Friday - Sister's dance show, it was very good if you like that sort of thing. I enjoyed some of it a lot, but it went on a bit.

Today I'm going to Gotham with [livejournal.com profile] sadaprilsky, [livejournal.com profile] magpie_queen, Jessica and lots of other people I expect. The rest of the weekend is quiet - I need to get out to the allotment and plant stuff tomorrow, then I need to do lots of work. I feel the Java Swing Tutorial calling.....

Film

After a long and complicated serious of things happening on Thursday I didn't go and see Star Wars as I'd planned...I then missed the start of the film I'd wanted to see and ended up seeing

Only Human
This is a spanish farce, the fun ensues after Rafi drops some frozen soup out of his fiancees (Leni's) mother's window seemingly killing someone below. It turns out the person below is Leni's father. Much silliness ensues. I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I was going to. The script was very well written with some very wry one-liners at highly appropriate moments and the pace kept up throughout. All the cast played their parts well, I thought Rafi (Guillermo Toledo) was particularly convincing, as the completely out of his depth finacee who keeps putting his foot in it. A good film all in, probably give it 8/10.
